In a blaze of glory, Kabelo Seboko-Mulaudzi, proudly representing the Boxer Athletics Club, has notched up an extraordinary pair of victories in the exhilarating realm of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. This remarkable athlete surged to victory at both the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K (held in July) and the inaugural Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K, a dazzling achievement that has left the sporting world awe-inspired. Now, with his unstoppable momentum, the 25-year-old dynamo is relentlessly pursuing a stunning third conquest in the series, targeting the Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K scheduled for Sunday, September 24th.

Seboko-Mulaudzi's exuberance is palpable: "I am truly elated with my current form. This year has been a watershed moment for me, especially clinching victories in both Durban and Tshwane," he reflects with a glow of accomplishment.

His triumph in the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K was the crescendo of a resilient return from an injury-riddled 2022. Here, he etched his name in the annals of South African athletics, smashing the illustrious 28-minute barrier for a 10km race. This landmark feat has propelled his confidence to stratospheric heights.

"After the Durban triumph, my racing spirit is soaring high. In Tshwane, even when we tackled the initial 5km at a measured pace, I sensed victory in my grasp. Thus, the anticipation for the upcoming Johannesburg race on September 24th is absolutely exhilarating."

Seboko-Mulaudzi, the audacious underdog, sent shockwaves through the ranks in Durban on July 9th at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K, triumphantly outpacing former SA 10km Record Holder, Stephen Mokoka, and fellow sub-28 minute 10k athlete, Thabang Mosiako. His clock-stopping time of 27:56 established him as the sixth athlete to breach the elusive 28-minute barrier, securing the rank of fifth fastest ever South African.

The victor's laurels at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K reaffirmed that his Durban glory was no fleeting starburst, but a rising constellation of promise on the horizon. With his entrance into the Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K, the race is guaranteed to be an electrifying showdown.

"Kabelo's presence has injected a dynamic burst of competition into the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series," declares Michael Meyer, the astute Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and the visionary Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. "His consecutive triumphs in the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K and the inaugural Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K have shone a radiant spotlight on his extraordinary prowess. With each race, he propels himself to greater heights, and we eagerly await the spectacle he will unfurl at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K on National Heritage Day."
